We chose the most effective neurofeedback system for neurodivergent children.  The device uses auditory feedback to deliver the needed training, therefore, conscious focusing by the child is not required.  Successful sessions are accessible to even kids with the most complex challenges. The design is allowing each  brain to optimize functioning which results in better self-regulation.

Testimonial from an ASD parent- Our NeurOptimal® Journey

NeurOptimal neurofeedback has been a game changer for our family.  We've done conventional therapies for years making gains but I've always felt that we've been missing something.  When we decided to try NeurOptimal , I wasn't sure my energetic pre-teen son would tolerate the 5 leads and sitting for a 33-minute session.  With the help of a patient therapist, we walked him through each step of the process allowing him to touch the leads and assuring him the process would not hurt.  The process became calming to him.  To this day, a NeurOptimal session is the longest amount of time that my son will sit.

quote from parent neurofeedback review autism blog

My son began doing sessions twice weekly in a clinic, then we rented for a month, and now own a system.  We used grants to make the training possible.  Training the whole brain is unlike anything we have ever done.  It has been a journey of discovery, of learning to trust the brain's ability to self-correct and prioritize gains.  It has taught me how amazing my son's brain truly is.  Sleep, eye contact, self-regulation, a significant decrease in behaviors, and improvement in cognitive functioning are some of the gains my son has made.  Neuroptimal has helped me become a better advocate for my son and is a deep form of self-care that I can do with my son.  It has helped me sleep better, feel calmer, build resilience during intense challenges, and listen to understand to check how I am responding to my son.  We have been able to manage the turbulence of puberty without medications by training the control center of the body, the brain.  Building NeurOptimal into our lives has been one of the greatest tools that we have discovered for managing autism and making gains that I never thought were possible.

FAQs

Does neurofeedback help with sensory processing?

Yes, neurofeedback can help with sensory processing issues by training the brain to better regulate responses to sensory stimuli. Common improvements include enhanced tolerance to touch, such as discomfort from clothing labels, improved eye contact, and reduced overwhelm from sounds.

What age can you start neurofeedback?

We chose the most effective and safest system for our program with children: NeurOptimal.  NeurOptimal neurofeedback is safe and effective for individuals of all ages, including infants, as it is non-invasive and registered with the FDA as a General Wellness Device. There's no minimum age requirement, allowing children to start benefiting from sessions at any age.

What do you do if your child can’t sit still?

If your child can't sit still for a 30-minute NeurOptimal session, it's not a problem. The system can accommodate movement, and sessions can be shortened if necessary. Quiet activities are another option to keep them engaged.  Some parents choose to train their children during sleep for the initial sessions, especially if they pull the sensors off when training while awake.

Do they need to be able to focus visually?

No, children do not need to focus visually during NeurOptimal sessions. The system works through auditory signals, allowing them to engage in other activities or even close their eyes, making it flexible and convenient for children of all attention levels.

Does neurofeedback help with language delay?

NeurOptimal can be beneficial for language delays by supporting brain function and enhancing neural pathways related to language and communication. Many parents observe improvements in their child's speech and language skills. For a firsthand account, watch this interview with a mother discussing how NeurOptimal helped her son's speech: Watch the testimonial.
