Can you switch from in-office neurofeedback to a home device?
Switching from in-office to home neurofeedback is not only feasible but also a favored option for many of our clients, including those transitioning from the same system used in our offices or from protocol neurofeedback, which is exclusively available in-office. Each year, we guide hundreds of individuals and families to our home program, particularly those who initially found success with in-office neurofeedback and are now in search of a more cost-effective, long-term solution. The transition to home sessions, regardless of the starting point, is smooth and hassle-free. Clients transitioning do not encounter any adverse effects, ensuring a seamless switch. Moreover, a major benefit of our home program is the ability to increase the frequency of sessions per week, accelerating the achievement of desired outcomes.

Do I need a brain map or QEEG to do neurofeedback at home?
When I was looking for a neurofeedback device for my counseling practice I researched them all. I chose a system that was the latest technology, a system that has the brain mapping integrated in real-time to the software. That means clients receive training based on the most current brainwave data. It also means they don’t have to spend an extra $2000 on brain maps for each family member before any training begins!
My in-office provider said I can't or shouldn't do home neurofeedback. Why?
If your in-office neurofeedback provider has advised against home neurofeedback, it might be due to a lack of familiarity with Dynamical Neurofeedback, the only system is called NeurOptimal. They may not be aware of its specifics or might misunderstand its operation, assuming it's similar to traditional protocol-based neurofeedback. Unlike the latter, which requires an expert to set and adjust protocols, Dynamical Neurofeedback is designed for easier use at home without the need for professional oversight.
Can multiple family members train on the same neurofeedback device?
Absolutely, multiple family members can use the same device for their neurofeedback sessions. Our system employs Dynamical Neurofeedback, a method that analyzes the brain's maladaptive brainwaves in real-time and then supplies the necessary feedback to enhance functioning. This approach is versatile and effective for a variety of concerns, including ADHD, sleep disturbances, stress, anxiety, or recovery from a head injury. Regardless of the specific issue, if it involves maladaptive brainwaves, our system will detect these patterns and deliver auditory feedback. This serves as a cue for the brain, prompting it to adjust and improve its own activity.

Do I have to learn how to set protocols or have training in order to run sessions at home?
No, there's no need for you to learn how to set protocols or undergo training to run sessions at home when using Dynamical Neurofeedback. This system is designed to be fully automated, distinguishing it from previous generations of neurofeedback systems that required a trainer to monitor and adjust protocols manually. Dynamical Neurofeedback performs more than 100,000 calculations every second, enabling it to determine the optimal moments to alert the brain to its own habitual patterns. The brain then intuitively responds to these precisely timed feedback cues, adjusting itself naturally. This automation simplifies the process, allowing you to focus on your session without worrying about technical configurations.
Are the results of home neurofeedback the same?
The outcomes of using our program at home are identical to those achieved in-office because both settings utilize the same device. In fact, many clients find the home sessions not only more convenient and cost-effective but also more beneficial. This improvement is often attributed to the ability to conduct sessions more frequently at home. Our technology allows for a comprehensive approach by addressing all issues at once, rather than sequentially tackling one problem at a time, such as focus, then sleep, then anxiety. As a result, clients experience simultaneous improvements across various areas, including enhanced focus, better sleep quality, and reduced anxiety, all in real-time.

Is a neurofeedback app a good solution for home sessions?
No, an app is not a suitable solution for home neurofeedback. The primary reason for this is that the brain functions at an incredibly fast pace, similar to that of a high-speed computer. A phone app lacks the sophisticated computational power required to operate the advanced software necessary for effective brain training.
